About CCMP

 

 

This is a highly successful day camp has choral performance as its focus, but will also include theater activities and fun for students who desire to further their musical training and drama skills! We will focus on correct vocal technique, proper performance & theater etiquette through exciting choral literature and improvisational exercises. CCMP Music Programs is five full days of singing dancing and fun! Working with Mrs. Carol Weaver, Director of Choirs at great Valley Middle School will be Musical Directors, Choreographers and Drama Coaches from neighboring universities, churches and school districts. Our students receive training in voice, dance movement, solo and ensemble singing. Together they rehearse, create and prepare musical selections, dance routines, theatrical vignettes and basic sets for our CCMP Grand Finale!!!

Classes

Daily class times are Monday through Friday 9-3pm. Students are immersed in an exciting and fun schedule of activities which include: choir classes which focus on part singing, sight reading, and ear training appropriate for each ability level. Students will also be instructed in specific dance styles, theatrical makeup and dramatic improvisation. CCMP Music Programs is committed to making the performing arts accessible and fun to kids in creative ways. Our program will foster teamwork, discipline, commitment and support – lessons that will resonate in all areas of our participants’ lives, long after they leave CCMP!

Talent Show

Campers will get an opportunity to share their talents with their peers in a supportive and fun-filled environment.

Guest Faculty

Vocal Jazz, Gospel, Pop and Vocal Health Instructors will visit and offer workshops in these areas for our campers! In addition, sessions will be held in theatrical make-up, stage direction, and basic set design!

Final Concert

An awesome week of singing, choreography and drama will lead up to our Grand Finale Performance!!! The campers will share their accomplishments with family and friends. Campers will have the option of purchasing a slide presentation or photo’s of the weeks activities!
